An unforgettable day of at the first ever Bike Aintree

The day that truly showcased passion, perseverance, and community spirit. From sunshine to showers and everything in between, our riders faced every type of weather imaginable, and they did so with determination and smiles on their faces. We were thrilled to welcome over 200 riders of all ages and abilities, each bringing their own energy and enthusiasm to the event. Together, they raised an incredible £11,000 to support Breast Cancer services at Aintree, Broadgreen, and the Royal Hospitals. This generosity will make a real difference to patients and families across our region.

The day was made even more special by the presence of Simon O’Brien, Liverpool City Region Cycling and Walking Commissioner, who not only officially started the ride but also jumped on his bike to join the fun. His support reflects the growing commitment to cycling and active travel in our city. We also want to extend a thank you to Woodlands Hospice for being part of the journey, and to our brilliant partners who helped make the event possible. This was truly a community effort, and every volunteer, sponsor, and supporter played a huge role.

Whether you rode, sponsored, volunteered, or simply cheered us on from the side lines, thank you. Your involvement turned #BikeAintree into more than just a cycling event; it became a celebration of resilience, generosity, and hope.

And the excitement doesn’t stop here! Bike Aintree 2026 is already on the horizon! We’re planning an even bigger and better event, so keep an eye out for updates and save the date.
