Urology team first in NHS to use latest robot for prostate cancer surgery
Harriet's generous gym community has donated over £40,000 since they first started hiking, walking, taking part in charity fitness classes and social soirees to raise vital funds for breast cancer services in Liverpool. Back in May, a coach full of gym members, friends and family tackled Catbells, raising a magnificent £3,477 in the process.
We recently welcomed loyal supporter, Harriet to the Liverpool Breast Unit, where we were able to show her first hand, the difference that her donations over the years have made. We talked about the essential care provided by the unit, for people across Merseyside facing breast health concerns, including breast cancer. Based at the Broadgreen Hospital, the Royal Liverpool and Aintree University Hospitals, the team is known for delivering compassionate, high-quality, and innovative care in a supportive environment.
The unit works closely with partners such as The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust to ensure every patient receives a personalised care plan and each person is also supported by a dedicated specialist nurse, offering guidance and continuity throughout their treatment journey.
UHL charity have supported the service for many years, to improve the care environment and our patients’ experience, fund ground breaking research and development, and provide innovative, state of the art equipment or systems that enhance the service.
We are so grateful for the support that Harriet has shown over the years and are excited to keep working with the whole team at Harriet McGuffie.
Please get in touch if you would like to find out how you can support our breast cancer services.
